Halloween
So this simplicity amazes and disgusts me
So wrongly I thought I was home
But seldom do kindness, beauty and truth go together
And of the three-piece
One is often tainted
And I don't know what to do
Now that all i sought is calling out for me
To take a temporary pleasure
And then watch it crumble as it must do
For the truth will out
And the truth is ugly
And yes, the truth is ugly, deep inside
Though observers would say otherwise
Kindness is troubled deeply, never showing it
Giving endlessly, never caring for itself
Beauty is unspoiled, untouched by the lapse of time
Innocent in mind and flesh, a smile that could melt a glacier
And I can see right through you
Just by looking in your eyes
I can read you story
By looking past the flesh
I don't want to love just because I'm being loved
I'm begging you, from the bottom of my heart
Show me kindness, beauty and truth
